Stand Speak Rise Up! x Luxair
Luxair and Stand Speak Rise Up! have joined forces to bring vital awareness to the fight against sexual violence impacting women and girls in conflict zones worldwide. Together, they amplify the voices of every woman who has experienced such violence, emphasizing the urgent need for awareness, support, and meaningful action to drive lasting change.
Together against violence
November 25th marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls. In this context, Luxair aims to highlight the important work of the Stand Speak Rise Up! Association and advocate for victims and survivors of sexual violence in conflict zones. To spread the message of solidarity and support, Luxair will unveil an orange special livery on the De Havilland Q400. Additionally, Luxair is raising awareness among its employees and passengers through targeted actions centred around the symbolic colour orange. Back in 2020, Luxair also dedicated its brand, colours, and aircraft livery to this cause, with orange representing the movement initiated by the United Nations.
Stand Speak Rise Up!
Stand Speak Rise Up! is an initiative founded in 2019 by Her Royal Highness, the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, Maria Teresa, to combat sexual violence against women and girls in fragile environments such as war zones and conflict regions. The non-profit organization aims to give a voice to victims and develop solutions for them. Its focus is on raising awareness, mobilizing resources, and supporting survivors of sexual violence. In collaboration with international experts and activists, numerous projects and conferences have already been realized, helping survivors, and seeking justice for them. The association also promotes actions that enable children born as a result of violence to live in peace and dignity.

A Statement in the Sky
The new special livery on the De Havilland Q400, identified as LX-LGE, delivers a powerful message against violence toward women. Its design, featuring fragmented female faces, symbolizes the many instances of violence women have endured.
Through this initiative, Luxair aims to bring attention to the urgent issue of violence against women, including domestic abuse, which often occurs in silence and robs victims of their dignity. This special livery serves as a reminder that women should not feel the need to hide and deserve support without losing their identity or self-worth.
