When you purchase an airline ticket(s) online at www.luxair.lu, the Luxair SMART UPGRADE feature will appear on the ticket purchase confirmation page if the booked flight is eligible.
When the airline ticket has not been purchased online on the Luxair website, you may also be contacted by Luxair via e-mail around 8 days prior to departure, to take advantage of an upgrade. In addition to these two situations, you can also check if you’re eligible for an upgrade in the form above by entering your booking reference and last name. If your flight is eligible, you will be automatically redirected you to the page where you can take part in the auction.
The bidding system has a predefined minimum and maximum amount for the offer. The bidding amount can be changed by using a sliding scale. An intensity indicator will show the strength of your offer, but it does not guarantee success. Afterwards, the offer can still be increased, reduced or cancelled entirely up to 28 hours prior to departure (provided that Luxair has not accept the offer yet).
In order to place your offer, you are required to enter your payment information. Please note that your credit card will only be charged if your offer has been successful.
You will be notified by email whether your offer has been accepted or rejected usually 72 to 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight’s departure time.

You can place a bid as soon as you have booked your ticket and up to 28 hours prior to the scheduled flight's departure. However, your flight needs to be eligible – check the eligibility in the form on top of the page.
If your offer is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email at the email address provided at the time of the booking or during the offer process. This may be between 72 and 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. In the event Luxair accepts your offer, Luxair will deduct the amount of the offer on your credit card at any time from the time of acceptance until the scheduled flight departure time. At the time of the Check In, you will receive a Business boarding pass. If you check-in at the airport, please proceed to the Business Check In counter.

Yes, you can modify or cancel your bid from the time that you submit your bid until 28 hours prior to the scheduled flight’s departure time and as long as Luxair has not already accepted your offer. Luxair may accept your offer at any time prior to the scheduled flight’s departure time.
To modify or cancel your bid, just click the link in your bidding confirmation email or log in via the above eligibility check form by entering your booking reference and last name.
Once Luxair has successfully accepted your upgrade offer, it cannot be changed nor cancelled. If you want to change your flight after you’ve received an upgrade, you regrettably won't be refunded or credited for your successful upgrade bid.
Unfortunately, you are not able to transfer your bid at any time.
